The 10th pick in the 2009 draft is the last rookie to sign a contract with his team. "The 49ers came to us, we came to them, and everybody came to a reachable agreement," Crabtree said. Yea, okay Mike.

Months ago the 49ers selected Michael Crabtree (WR, Texas Tech) as the No. 10 pick in this year's draft, and now he will finally report to the team on Wednesday after signing a 6-year contract (with player option for the final year) for an undisclosed salary. Crabtree, and his agent met with the Niners front office in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to broker a deal after weeks of rumors and stalled negotiations.

According to the New York Daily News, the San Francisco 49ers have filed charges with the NFL against the New York Jets alleging that they tampered with the Niners' unsigned 2009 draft pick WR Michael Crabtree. Crabtree has threatened to sit out the season adn reenter the draft in 2010 if he does not get the contract he wants. The Jets are in need of a WR and may have talked to Crabtree's agent Eugene Parker, whom the Jets GM worked with years ago to get Curtis Martin from the Patriots.
